Making Scenery Plans for gMax: Page

| Now I want to position the plane so that gMax's 0,0,0 origin is my latitude and longitude. My aircrafts position shows up nicely as a square on the image. I zoom in tight and place a Point helper in the center of the box. Next select the plane and LINK it to the Point helper. Now move the Point helper to the origin. 0,0,0. | |

| Next I am going to verify my plan. I made a simple box and fit it to an easily identifiable area of the plan. Selected the box and then Export Selected to a BGL. I pluged in the latitude and longitude for my reference point in makemdl.exe and then moved the file to the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\ADDON SCENERY\SCENERY directory. Of course if you are using the FS2004 gamepack you'd be exporting to an FS9 Scenery Mdl and would have to place it with the XML file and BGLCOMP.EXE. | |
